After-School Strings with Boston Music Project
Boston Music Project is excited to launch a brand-new after-school orchestra program at John F. Kennedy Elementary School starting Fall 2025!
This engaging after-school program offers students in grades K-1 through 6 (flyer incorrectly notes K1-5) the opportunity to explore the joy of music through hands-on instruction in violin, viola, or cello. Led by professional teaching artists from the Boston Music Project, students will participate in small-group lessons and full ensemble rehearsals. As part of the program, students receive a string instrument, opportunities to perform at school and across the Boston community, invitations to summer programming and private lessons, and build connections with hundreds of fellow youth musicians throughout Boston. Full tuition with the JFK program is $335 per month. Financial aid is available for qualifying families.
*We need a minimum of 45 students registered to run the program. If we are unable to achieve this enrollment, we will not be able to provide this afterschool program and all fees will be refunded to those who signed up*.
