Each classroom at the JFK will engage in different activities from our “BLM at school” choice board in a way that is developmentally appropriate to the grade level. Families are welcome to explore and engage in these activities at home as well!
Similar to a Spirit Week, this is an Awareness Week. Teachers have been working so hard this year to have courageous conversations with students and each other about social justice issues. This week is to have a focus on certain topics and issues that fall within the broad scope of what we are working towards.
Every day during the week of February 1 through 5 we’ll share ways families can participate in Black Lives Matter at School from home.
If you participate in Black Lives Matter at home and would like to share with the community, you may send pictures to your child’s teacher.
