I hope everyone is doing well and ready for the Thanksgiving break.
Early Dismissal–Wednesday, November 22nd, 2023
This Wednesday, November 22nd, 2023 is an early release day for all Boston Public Schools. All JFK students will be dismissed at 12:40. Students who walk to school will be dismissed from the school yard at 12:40 and buses will start leaving the JFK at 12:40. Please plan accordingly to pick students up from the school yard at 12:40 or from their bus stop at the appropriate time.
Lost and Found
The Lost and Found at the JFK is starting to resemble Marshalls’ Department Store. Please write students’ names or initials inside their jackets and remind them to bring their personal belongings home with them. On a daily basis a vast amount of clothing is left on the playground and throughout the school, it’s easier to identify clothing if students have their names or initials written on the tags inside their clothing.
Class Picture–Wednesday, December 6th, 2023
On Wednesday, December 6th, students will have an opportunity to retake their individual pictures and also take a class picture. All students will get a free copy of their class picture. If you have any questions, please reach out to Ms. Sanchez at bsanchez2@bostonpublicschools.org.
Literacy Wonderland–Thursday, December 14th from 5:00-6:30 PM
Please join the JFK staff on Thursday, December 14th from 5:00-6:30 for our Literacy Wonderland.
Dismissal Reminder
Dismissal is a crucial time at the JFK. If you are adjusting your child/ren dismissal plan, please call the main office at (617) 635-8127 by 11:30 am. If you are picking up your child/ren early, please do so before 2:30. At 2:30, we start the dismissal process, and our priority is ensuring that all students are safely dismissed.
